We’re committed to apprenticeships and traineeships in our operations across Australia and New Zealand.

We see them as the perfect vehicles for training and developing new and existing team members as they offer them the ability to "earn and learn" from day one. As most of the training is completed in the workplace, the skills our apprentices and trainees develop can be customised to our business needs.

Apprenticeships and Traineeships involve more than just us and our apprentice or trainee team members.

There are a number of organisations involved throughout the lifecycle of the Apprenticeship and Traineeship, from recruitment to completion, with specific reporting and other communication requirements for each.

Apprenticeship vs. Traineeship

Apprenticeships and traineeships are different, with the key difference being the level of commitment. Apprenticeships last for three to four years. They’re usually based on traditional trade areas, such as construction, electrical and automotive. Traineeships last for one to two years. They generally cover industries such as business administration and customer service.

With apprentices and trainees right across our business, from Defence to local government, from telecommunications to transport and utilities, we’re helping build the next generation of talent in Australia and New Zealand.
