We have nearly 20 years of experience in providing operations control room management for several of Australia’s largest road operators, ensuring safe lane availability for all road users, and maximised lane availability for network owners.

Our control centres are staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our highly qualified team monitors traffic flow and critical systems for both unplanned incidents and planned maintenance activities.

For Sydney's M5 East motorway we’ve been operating the Motorway Control Centre (MCC) since 2011. This oversees the safe passage of more than 150,000 commuters daily through 10km of open road and tunnel. In Queensland we operate the MCC for both the Clem7 tunnel (52,000 vehicles a day since 2010) and Airport Link (73,000 vehicles a day since 2012).

The Motorway Control Centres:

  • monitor air quality
  • monitor and control services and equipment
  • manage the operations management control systems, including fire systems
  • coordinate with the relevant network managers TMC (Traffic Management Centre)
  • ensure the motorways are safe for all road users in all conditions, including in traffic congestion.

Our team provides planned network access for routine maintenance as well as incident response. Liaising with emergency services and relevant government agencies and authorities on issues affecting these roads. We provide a 24-hour towing and breakdown service for incident response and traffic breakdowns. Our operators and incident response crews are trained and have their skills assessed regularly by virtual simulation technology. We are one of the leaders in Australia to train our people using virtual simulation techniques.
