Ventia has a long-standing association with Australia’s Naval and Maritime sectors, having established the ANZAC Class shipbuilding program based in Williamstown, and today builds and sustains ships and maritime assets around Australia’s coastline.

Ventia is supporting Australia’s maritime industry and sovereign industrial capability via:

  • Over 20 years’ work in Techport SA, supporting the Collins Class submarines, assisting with the build of the Hobart Class Destroyers and supporting the build of the Arafura Class OPVs
  • Over 20 years’ support to WA’s shipping and maritime industry through a contract with the WA Department of Transport to maintain navigational aids along the coast - a vital responsibility for mariner safety
  • Our engineers, planners, projects managers and skilled tradesmen and women have worked on several classes of ship at Garden Island Dockyard Sydney
  • Our collective skills and technologies - leveraging and combining them with a team of complimentary preferred SMEs and suppliers from Australia and New Zealand, providing an exceptional ability to build a sovereign industrial capability that will assure longstanding shipbuilding and sustainment capabilities for Australia

In so doing, we draw upon the pivotal asset management skills and technologies employed in the Ventia Resources and Transport sectors including:

  • An extensive array of white, grey and blue collar workers who we can expeditiously task, leveraging our corporate HR and IT systems – as one of Australia’s largest industrial services companies - to support the diversity of client requirements
  • Sustainment in highly regulated environments such as Australia’s largest oil refinery at BP Kwinana - a Major Hazardous Facility under WHS legislation - providing a base for Seaworthiness compliance
  • Timely maintenance completions, where time is money and late completion penalties are prohibitive, as exists throughout the Resources sector
  • A planning, technology, and personnel network necessary to surge large labour at very short notice to manage emergent work for on-time completion
  • Our highly skilled grey collar network of planners, schedulers, estimators and supervisors who can plan major shutdowns (ship refits) to optimise asset availability and reliability
