In a game-changing move in Palmerston North, our centralAlliance team has received a major site operations upgrade with the arrival of two electric vehicles for our cleaners, orderlies and security personnel.

At centralAlliance, we're dedicated to enhancing productivity and efficiency while aligning with our sustainability goals and those of our client, Te Whatu Ora (Health NZ) and the New Zealand Government.

These electric vehicles will help us operate more efficiently and effectively across the Palmerston North Hospital precinct which spans a massive 17.93ha area. Consideration is being given to extending their use to the Te Whata ora Whanganui Hospital in due course.

More efficient operations

"The electric vehicles will be a game-changer for our staff and operations," says Jonathan Woodman, Project Director for centralAlliance.

Previously, our cleaners and orderlies had to walk between scattered site buildings, exposing themselves and their equipment to the rain and searing heat. This created safety concerns and resulted in a loss of productivity however, with the electric vehicles, we can now move quickly, effectively and safely between buildings.

'The vehicles are also available for use by our maintenance staff when accessing remote buildings," Jonathan said.

"We've been thrilled to witness the impact these vehicles have already had on our staff and look forward to continuing to innovate and implement positive changes in the future," Jonathan said.
