There was rain and mud, a lot of laughs and a few bruises at this year's Bennelong Cup, and 12 Team Ventia members enjoyed every minute of it while supporting a good cause.
Now in its fifth year, Ventia was proud to be a gold sponsor of the event organised by Bennelong Energy Services, which supports Indigenous students transitioning from school to work.
Ventia Group Executive Defence and Social Infrastructure Derek Osborn said the company's involvement in the event was part of Ventia's strategy to employ more Indigenous young people.
Ventia is committed to providing an inclusive and diverse workplace that reflects the community we serve as well as helping to close the gap for Indigenous Australians.
"Our TRECCA program is Ventia's dedicated Indigenous recruitment, engagement and mentoring division designed to identify Indigenous candidates for roles right across our business in Australia.'

"Supporting the Bennelong Cup has enabled us to work with organisations that have established connections to Indigenous young people who are looking for career opportunities.'
"We have been very impressed with the candidates we have met through this program, and we are pleased to be able to offer meaningful employment within our organisation this year and provide ongoing support.'
"We look forward to working with Bennelong Energy Services on further initiatives."
