With our partner, Jacobs Australia we're proud to be the winner of the 2017 ALGA 2017 Best Regional Remediation Industry Award, for our complex multidisciplinary remediation work on the Cox Peninsula Remediation Project, located in the Northern Territory.

The award recognises excellence in remediation for projects that:

  • demonstrate significant environmental, economic and social benefits
  • provide strong focus on safety and regulation
  • engage stakeholders at all levels, and
  • lead the industry with new technologies and innovation.

Gordon Taylor, EGM Infrastructure Services said the Cox Peninsula project was a great example of collaboration and delivering excellence.

I am incredibly proud of the team that worked on this project and the fantastic end-result - being able to hand back the land to the Traditional Owners.

"The team rehabilitated close to 6,000 hectares of land and constructed a 30,000m3 permanent containment cell to hold contaminated soils.

"Importantly, we worked closely with our client and the Traditional Owners throughout the project to understand their objectives, and to ensure strong Indigenous employment in the project.

"As one of Australia's leading remediation businesses, and more than 140 major environmental remediation projects successfully completed, we're proud of the work we do to keep communities and environments safe and healthy."
