Our Defence team was thrilled to win the Estate and Infrastructure Business of the Year Award at the inaugural Australian Defence Industry Awards in Canberra last night. It was a stellar black-tie evening at the Australian Institute of Sport where around 800 people from across the broad Defence industry celebrated the achievements of individuals and companies in a range of categories. Broadspectrum was also finalists in three other categories - Dipak Nand, Regional Manager, NT Fuel Services (Technician of the Year); Defence Base Services Contract (Defence Innovator of the Year); and we nominated one of our outstanding subcontract partners from the Northern Territory, Top End RACE, for Subcontractor of the Year.

Executive General Manager, Gavin Campbell, accepted the award on behalf of Broadspectrum and acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the entire Defence Base Services team.

Our 2,500-strong workforce delivers estate and infrastructure services under Defence's Estate Maintenance and Operational Services (EMOS) contract directly to Australian Defence Force (ADF) members at over 230 major and remote Army, Navy and Air Force sites across Australia. As one of the large contractors on the Defence estate, the services we provide support the daily operation of Defence properties and are a fundamental input to ADF capability, readiness and sustainability.

The Australian Defence Industry Awards have been developed to showcase the depth of talent in Australia's defence industry while affirming its essential role in supporting national security and driving innovation, economic growth and workforce development.
