Dr Danielle Toase - one of our talented environmental scientists recently presented at the Emerging Contaminants (EMCON) Summit in Denver, Colorado as part of a panel on the Advances in Treatment of PFAS-impacted Environmental Media.

Attended by leaders and stakeholders from across the world, the Summit focused on the latest developments in the detection, fate and transport, risk assessment, treatment and regulation of emerging contaminants.

As the next emerging global contaminant, PFAS contamination exists in soil, sediment, biota, surface and groundwater, landfill leachate, wastewater and sewerage sludge and has been even detected in Arctic polar bears.

Danielle discussed how Ventia is tackling these issues through exploring a range of scientifically proven and robust remediation technologies for treatment of PFAS contamination.

Danielle is a Geochemist and remediation specialist.

We're proud of our talented and engaged women and men who are leading the charge in this space.
