Ventia has secured a five-year extension of its contract to manage and operate the Australian Marine Complex – Common User Facility (AMC‑CUF) at Henderson, Western Australia (WA), valued at approximately $133 million.

The extension, commencing in July 2027 after the current term ends, maintains Ventia’s stewardship of this critical maritime facility.

This achievement underscores Ventia’s role as a trusted partner in managing critical common-use infrastructure and complex multi‑user precincts that serve both industry, Government and Defence customers.

Integrated precinct management to support vital maritime infrastructure

Ventia has managed the AMC‑CUF on behalf of the WA State Government since mid‑2022, delivering 24/7 facility management, operations, marketing and business development services to a wide range of Defence and industry users. The AMC‑CUF has continued to be recognised as one of Australia’s key shipbuilding and maritime sustainment hubs, supporting sovereign Defence capability and national security objectives while enabling large-scale industrial projects. Ventia’s end-to-end approach ensures uninterrupted operations and smooth coordination between multiple stakeholders – a testament to the integrated complex precinct management capabilities that Ventia also applies across its other major projects in Western Australia.

Supporting Western Australia’s infrastructure

As one of Australia’s largest essential infrastructure services providers, Ventia delivers mission-critical operations and maintenance across Defence, transport, telecommunications, resources, and social infrastructure in WA.

Beyond AMC‑CUF, Ventia supports all Western Australian Defence bases through comprehensive property, asset and firefighting services. The company also manages critical transport infrastructure, from maintaining 38 marine facilities and 1,500 navigation aids for the Department of Transport Major Infrastructure (DTMI) to deploying smart freeway technology that improves safety and efficiency on Perth’s roads. In telecommunications, Ventia is delivering fibre and wireless networks for major projects like the Square Kilometre Array Observatory (SKAO), supporting cutting-edge scientific research in the state’s mid-west region. In the resources and energy sector, Ventia provides maintenance, shutdown and engineering services across mining and energy operations. These diverse projects highlight Ventia’s ability to integrate complex services and work seamlessly alongside commonwealth and state governments, industry and community partners.

A commitment to local workforce and social value

Ventia’s broad Western Australian footprint is underpinned by a strong local presence. The company currently employs over 1,900 people in WA and works with a large network of WA-based suppliers. In 2025, Ventia’s local operations delivered an estimated $890 million in social value to Western Australia’s economy through local employment and procurement.

Ventia’s WA team includes a high proportion of local residents, Indigenous Australians, Veterans and trainees, reflecting a commitment to inclusive job opportunities and skills development within the communities where it operates. These efforts, combined with strategic joint ventures with Indigenous enterprises in WA, ensure that Ventia’s service delivery in the state not only strengthens key infrastructure but also contributes to long-term social and economic outcomes for local people and businesses.
