The Boulder Creek Wind Farm is a 38-turbine, 228-megawatt onshore wind farm, located 40km southwest of Rockhampton in Queensland.

When completed, the project, which is co-owned by Aula Energy and CS Energy will produce enough energy to power the equivalent of more than 85,000 homes.

Ventia’s energy networks and renewables team will support Powerlink on the delivery of grid connection assets that will help to connect the wind farm to Queensland’s electricity grid.

Our team will design and construct a new 275kV switching station that will facilitate the transfer of the electricity generated by the wind farm to the Queensland transmission network.

“This is a critical project for regional Queensland and a great addition to our growing renewables portfolio where our experience and track record in transmission and delivery of grid connection assets makes us an ideal partner,” said Ventia Executive General Manager Energy, Water and Renewables Agathe Gross

We’re excited and proud to partner with Powerlink, a leader in high voltage electricity transmission network services supplying the entire state of Queensland and we look forward to again demonstrating the excellence of our capabilities across this exciting project.

Our work on the project commenced in October 2024.
