Emma (Em) Hogan has joined Ventia’s Executive Leadership Team this week in the role of Group Executive, Strategy & Corporate Affairs.

With a visionary approach to leadership and 20+ years’ experience as a transformation leader across strategy, customer, digital, culture and communications, Em will help drive strategy and engagement with key internal and external stakeholders.

Em joins us after 5.5 years in state Government, most recently as Secretary for Digital, and the NSW Department of Customer Service.

Prior to that, Em had a 20-year career in the private sector working with iconic Australian brands across multiple sectors.

CEO Dean Banks said Em’s approach, along with her proven results, will see Ventia build on the success of our strategic pillars – client focus, innovation and sustainability – to drive a new age of growth for the business.

As Ventia works across both the public and private sectors, Em’s diverse experience will help ensure that our strategy reflects the drivers and goals of our wide client base in Australia and New Zealand - Dean Banks

"I’m really excited to be joining the Ventia team, and being part of it’s growth journey," Em says.

"I really value the diversity of its customer base and the impact the work Ventia and it’s customers have on the community.  Ventia’s commitment to sustainability in its broadest possible sense – environmental, social and governance – very much fits with my own core values."

Em holds an Executive Certificate in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, is a graduate of the Executive program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business and holds a post graduate qualification in HR Management from Deakin University.  Em is also a graduate of AICD, having served on a number of boards, and is the current NSW Chapter Chair for Chief Executive Women.
