The Roads Australia (RA) Fellowship Program is a unique, nationally recognised mentoring program that matches industry 'up and comers' with some of the most experienced and senior leaders in the Australian road infrastructure sector.

Our very own Nadir Hashmi is one of a select group accepted in to the 2018 Fellowship Program, which will expose him to new opportunities to develop his leadership skills, build strong networks and remain engaged in our industry.

Nadir has been matched with a mentor for the duration of the program, one of the 'greats' in the Australian road industry, Greg Evans. With more than 40 years' experience as a civil engineer, leader and senior executive in the public sector, Greg holds a wealth of knowledge, experience and leadership skills from which Nadir is sure to benefit.

As Operations and Maintenance Manager for our M5 East motorway project in Sydney, Nadir says he is very excited about the opportunities the program will offer to help him grow and develop in his role.

"I'm hoping to gain new skills from the program, and to develop further as person and as a business leader. It's also a great chance to polish my interpersonal skills and my ability to listen, as well as be heard," Nadir said.

This program is not just about me however, I want to utilise what I learn to help support Ventia's ultimate success and prosperity.

Kevin Badger, NSW Regional Manager in our Transport business, fully supports Nadir's achievement and wish him all the best.

"Nadir's selection is a significant achievement in itself, as there are very limited places available and candidates are chosen from a very strong pool of applications," Kevin said.

Congratulations to Nadir. This is great recognition for his nomination and acceptance to this prestigious development program.

In the program's alumni, Nadir joins fellow Operations and Maintenance Manager Brendan Gough (from Brisbane's AirportLinkM7).
