Essential Services provider Ventia is pleased to announce that it has signed another major contract with NBN Co (under its Visionstream Australia Pty Ltd subsidiary).

The four-year Unified Field Operations Agreement (Unify Services) also includes two x two-year options, at the election of NBN Co.

Under the new agreement our telecommunications business will support the national broadband network with a range of services including service activation and service assurance work, and urgent work directions.

The work will be performed across various fibre (FTTN, FTTP, FTTB and FTTC), copper and HFC network technologies across Victoria and Tasmania.

'To be able to extend and enhance our relationship with NBN into the next decade is a source of great pride for our team," said Tim Harwood, Ventia's Group Executive - Telecommunications.

'As NBN Co moves into this next phase following the completion of the initial volume build earlier this year, we're excited to continue working alongside them on delivering even greater capability on the network to millions of people across Australia."

"Coupled with the recent signing of the Unify Networks contract, this Services contract presents us with a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate our full end-to-end capability," said Neil Barnes, Ventia's General Manager for Network Operations and Assurance.

"Congratulations to our whole team for providing excellent service to NBN over the past decade, which played a key part in this successful contract signing."
