The Victorian Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) has awarded Ventia the contract to deliver arterial road maintenance services across the Grampians and Eastern Metropolitan regions under the Victorian Road Maintenance Contract (VRMC) model.

The contracts will support safer, reliable journeys for the people and communities who rely on these road networks every day.

Under the performance‑based contracts, Ventia will deliver end‑to‑end road network maintenance, including routine and programmed works, emergency response and minor capital works. These services will help maintain network safety, reliability and performance across both rural and metropolitan Victoria.

A data‑driven, sustainable approach

Ventia’s approach to the VRMC is built around four core themes: advanced systems capability, sustainability and innovation, a strong stewardship mindset, and low‑risk transition planning.

By combining our asset management expertise, leading digital tools and deep local network knowledge, we will deliver safe and reliable roads for local communities. Sustainable pavement solutions will also be deployed, supporting Victoria’s circular economy objectives and delivering on Ventia’s sustainability commitments.

Supporting communities and creating meaningful impact

Our customer‑first approach considers the needs of all stakeholders, including government, road users, local businesses, suppliers and communities. By keeping what is best for the network and the customer front of mind, we aim to improve road safety, reduce disruption, enhance the road user experience and deliver an optimised road network.
