Ventia (ASX:VNT) has secured an amendment to its existing contract with NBN Co, originally announced in June 2025, as part of nbn’s program to upgrade the remaining Fibre to the Node (FTTN) network across Australia.

The contract amendment, awarded to Ventia’s subsidiary, Visionstream Australia Pty Limited, is expected to deliver additional revenue of approximately $280 million to Ventia over the next 3.5 years. The agreement includes a 2-year extension option, at nbn’s election.

Under the contract amendment, Ventia will deploy additional fibre infrastructure to enable approximately 43,400 premises to progressively upgrade from FTTN to Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) technology in the Australian Capital Territory - North region. This marks a new geography for Ventia for this scope of work and further strengthens its role in delivering critical telecommunications infrastructure across Australia.

Ventia’s Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Dean Banks said:

We’re pleased to continue to expand our partnership with NBN Co through this new award. It reflects the trust placed in Ventia’s capability to deliver complex infrastructure programs and redefine service excellence. Our team is proud to continue supporting NBN Co’s program to upgrade the remaining FTTN footprint.

These contracted works are expected to commence mid-July 2025.
