'Success is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution.'

These are the words used to describe Ventia's contribution to the Integrated Vegetation Management (IVM) Program at Darwin Airport.

The program recently received an Australian Aviation Wildlife Hazard Group (AAWHG) industry award which recognises individuals or organisations in the Aviation industry implementing innovative and effective aviation wildlife management strategies.

Nick Bloor, Founder and CEO, IVM Group says:

The IVM program aimed to reduce the risk of wildlife strikes. The result was a 57% reduction in bird strike rate following the hard work of all.

Ventia worked collaboratively with Darwin Airport and the IVM Solutions team, and was named as a lead stakeholder whose commitment to excellence and innovation in aviation safety contributed to the program's success.

Congratulations to our DBS Environmental Services team in the Northern Territory for this recognition, and we're looking forward to seeing this across other sites in continued collaboration.
