Description

The primary goal of the project was to establish a reliable network grid connection for the Glenrowan Solar Farm. We aimed to ensure safety, cost-effectiveness, adherence to schedule, high-quality work, effective risk management, skilled personnel, and positive stakeholder engagement.

Scope of work

The team conducted civil, structural, and electrical construction work to create a new 33/220kV Transformer Bay and 220kV Switching Bay within the Glenrowan Terminal Station. The team also installed a 42-meter monopole and two transmission line bays for the connection. Our expert team integrated the required technological components seamlessly.

Project outcomes

The project’s connection of the Glenrowan Solar Farm brings clean energy to approximately 40,000 homes, positively impacting the community. Located in Victoria’s Central North Renewable Energy Zone, it supports regional growth and offers long-term social and economic advantages through clean power. We ensured compliance with environmental regulations, minimising negative impacts on the environment, cultural heritage, and neighbors.
