Description

Delivering connected and efficient transport networks

The Victorian ITS Maintenance Contracts (VIMC) form part of the Victorian Government's broader approach to building a more connected, resilient and data-driven transport network. Under the contracts, Ventia will provide routine maintenance, inspections, fault rectification, asset monitoring, traffic management and minor capital works across a broad portfolio of transport technology assets.

A key focus of the program is improving asset performance through better data, greater network visibility and proactive maintenance. Ventia's approach combines enterprise asset management platforms, real-time monitoring systems and predictive analytics to provide a clearer view of asset condition and performance across the network.

Through the integration of field mobility technology, GIS mapping, live dashboards and automated work management systems, maintenance teams can identify emerging issues earlier, prioritise interventions and respond more quickly to faults. This supports improved network availability, reduced disruption and more informed asset investment decisions.

The contracts also create opportunities to better align maintenance and renewal activities, helping maximise asset performance, extend asset life and improve value for money across metropolitan and regional Victoria.

By combining transport expertise, digital capability and a partnership-based approach, Ventia will support TfV’s vision for a safer, more efficient and sustainable transport network for Victorian communities.
