Our team at the Northern Beaches Hospital in Sydney is full steam ahead to ensure operational readiness by 30 October 2018.
Since the facilities management contract was awarded by Healthscope in November 2017, the team has already achieved many contract milestones.
Some achievements include drafting 20 asset and operational management plans, collaboration meetings with Healthscope's other third-party providers and suppliers, attending workforce information sessions for new and transferring employees, and coordinating the build of the asset management and work order system.
With the hospital scheduled to open to the public on 30 October, employees will soon begin to transfer from the Manly and Mona Vale Hospitals ahead of this date to join our team for the operational readiness works.
Since we were given the green light to occupy the building from 1 June, we have already inducted over 400 contractors, conducted 30 witness tests on operational systems such as vertical transport, the helipad, and Building Management System, begun the collation of the 80,000 plus assets into Healthscope's asset register and established our 24/7 help desk in conjunction with Visionstream's network operations centre.
Project Director, Jonathan Woodman and the team have been working closely with Healthscope to bring their ideas to life by harnessing their know-how and technology to deliver a tailored facilities maintenance solution.
I'm extremely impressed with our team and how much we've achieved so far, said Jonathan.
"Everyone has put their best foot forward and I am confident we'll be providing the best quality support for our client and their customers when we go live.'
