Ventia has been awarded an extension to its contract with Sydney Water for the provision of mechanical and electrical maintenance services until 2020.

As one of the largest contacts of its kind in Australia, our team has been providing services to Sydney Water since 2013, with the current contract in its fifth year. 

The maintenance contract requires Ventia to create year-on-year efficiencies to both reduce costs and drive innovation, delivering outcomes for both our client, Sydney Water and its customers.

Under the contract extension, Ventia will continue to provide:

• mechanical and electrical maintenance services across all Sydney Water operational assets including 30 water and waste water treatment plants, 800 pumping stations and 260 reservoirs; 
• building and property maintenance services for all Sydney Water facilities across 2,400 buildings and 1,400 sites*; and
• major periodic maintenance and other minor project works as required across Sydney Water's network that supports more than 1.8 million homes and four million people in the Sydney, Illawarra and Blue Mountains regions across 13,000 square kilometers.

Ventia's Executive General Manager Utility Services Gordon Taylor said the award of this contract was testament to the strong partnership, alignment and collaboration between Ventia and Sydney Water.

The contract extension commences 1 July 2018 and will run to the end of June 2020.
