We’ve been awarded a new contract with Energy Queensland for a three-year period, through to 2028, for the delivery of inspection and maintenance services across their streetlighting network, stretching from far north Queensland to the south-east.

Since 2018, Ventia has delivered inspection and maintenance services across the network.

As part of this new agreement, Ventia will continue to support Energy Queensland’s transition to more energy-efficient infrastructure, including the replacement of mercury vapour streetlights with LED technology.

Energy Queensland, through its subsidiaries Energex and Ergon Energy, owns, operates, and maintains the public street lighting network in Queensland. This network includes approximately 400,000 streetlights in south-east Queensland (Energex) and an additional 153,000, owned by Ergon Energy covering a footprint that stretches from the far north through regional Queensland and down to the NSW border.

“This contract award reflects the excellent service that our team has delivered over the past seven years, and the strong relationship that we have formed with Energy Queensland,” said Agathe Gross, Ventia’s Executive General Manager for Energy Networks and Renewables.

Our deep understanding of the network allows us to not only efficiently undertake inspection and maintenance but also means we can provide solutions and advice to our customer.

We look forward to continuing our partnership and delivering value to Queensland communities through our exceptional service delivery.
