Description

Ventia commenced operations across Western Power’s electricity network in 2024, delivering transmission and distribution maintenance services across Western Australia’s SWIS network, which supplies power to 2.3 million people. Early mobilisation included establishing a state-of-the-art depot in Forrestdale, onboarding a fleet of specialist vehicles, and building a skilled team of over 60 local employees.

A strong emphasis on team culture, community engagement, and innovation such as drone technology and digital field data capture has supported efficient, high-quality service delivery. Ventia’s integrated capabilities across sectors have enabled rapid mobilisation and value creation for Western Power, with a commitment to reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Scope of work

  • Installation, testing, and connection of underground & overhead distribution lines, hardware, cable, and switchgear
  • Construction, maintenance, and removal of HV & LV powerlines and OHL
  • In-ground cable works and service identification
  • Routine maintenance and upgrades of overhead systems
  • Scoping, planning, scheduling, and project management (including customer outage coordination)
  • Network outage booking, eNAR submission, in-house Distribution switching
